One essential way people connect, celebrate their culture, and pass down holiday traditions is through food. My family wanted to preserve our dearest family recipes, so we gathered around the dinner table and combined our diverse strengths to create our very own cookbook.
In collaboration with my mother (the writer), my sister (the graphic designer), and my uncle (the photographer), the entire family contributed to the making and baking of each recipe. A special shout-out to my grandma, who procured many of these recipes by interrupting my ancestors—as they worked only by feel and memory—to quickly collect all the flour they dumped out and measure every last ingredient. My humble contribution was the copy editing.
